A school in  heart of Lagos Nigeria, Morit International, Ajegunle  is collecting plastics in  exchange for school fees. The proprietor, Patrick Mbamarah,  said this helps to reduce the number of out of school children by giving parents an alternative way of getting their children, primary and college education .

He says the innovation also serves as a better alternative to indicriminate dumping of refuse , to ensure  a cleaner environment and tackle climate change. Patrick who is a graduate of Pure and Industrial Chemistry from Imo State University, Owerri, said that he was inspired  when he realised that some parents couldn’t pay, after he massively slashed school fees, and when  he shared the idea with them, 80 percent of them showed interest. Happy with the outcome, he promised to do more if given the opportunity.
